Marje Isabelle
CHAIR AND CO-FOUNDER
Marje, who has a lived experience of cancer, has built ACT for Cancer from its inception over five years ago, guiding its evolution, leading the development of the InfoHub, and securing its successful charity registration.
Now, as Chair of the ACT Trustee Board, she steers the organisation’s strategy and growth, ensuring its ongoing impact and success.

Dr Jack Kreindler
PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER
ACT for Cancer emerged from Jack’s experience working alongside top international clinicians and academics pioneering targeted cancer treatments. Additionally, he advocated for his wife during her cancer journey.
As President and Patron, he leads on scientific advancements, clinical innovation, and fundraising to drive the charity’s mission.

Oksana Gottlieb
TRUSTEE
Oksana, a lawyer at Citi Bank, brings both professional expertise and personal experience to ACT’s Trustee Board.
Having navigated her own cancer journey, she offers valuable insight into the challenges patients face and is committed to shaping ACT’s mission to improve access to information and treatment options.

Dr Andrew Crockett
TRUSTEE
Andrew is a GP, an Army Reservist, and a keen sportsman. His experience extends beyond medicine, having been a patient advocate while supporting his brother through cancer.
He joins ACT’s Trustee Board, combining medical expertise with personal experience to bridge the gap between clinicians, patients, and innovative treatments.

Martin Fincham
TRUSTEE
Martin, is a respected businessman, author, and chair of multiple companies. His most profound experience, however, was supporting his wife, Joanna, through her cancer journey, securing extra years through treatments beyond standard care.
The ACT Board welcomes his all-round expertise to further its mission in Joanna’s memory.

Sharmin Begum
MEDICAL CONTENT EDITOR & FOUNDING TEAM MEMBER
Sharmin brings a wealth of experience as a senior lab research scientist, having held positions at the Francis Crick Institute and Cancer Research UK (CRUK). With her background, she is well-equipped to manage the content for our Info Hub, keeping it current and relevant.
